"The Company" refers to Novaco Resources Sdn Bhd.
"Employee" refers to staff of Novaco Resources Sdn Bhd.

OBJECTIVE
The Company places strong emphasis on values and standards of business and ethical behaviour that complies with applicable laws and regulations. We respect and recognise human rights as stated in the Universal Declaration on Human Rights issued by the United Nations.
We are committed in avoiding causing adverse human rights impacts due to our business activities and relationships. We seek to insert human rights considerations in all our business activities and will continue enhancing human rights and resolve any impacts that may arise.
Employees shall be aware that any form of violence, forced labour, child labour, discrimination, including harassment, bullying and retaliation are unacceptable.

SCOPE
The policy is applicable to all employees, including full time, part time, temporary, probationary, casual, directors of the company, intern and contract employees.
Our commitment also extended to the communities surrounding our business operations, and business partners and other suppliers that involve in the value chain.
This policy shall be reviewed and amended whenever necessary to ensure its continued adequacy and relevance.

5.1 Diversity and Equal Opportunity
The Company values diversity and inclusion in the workplace, where all employees have equal opportunities to their career development in accordance with their experience and abilities. The Company shall not tolerate with any form of discrimination or harassment based on gender, age, race, sexual orientation or disability, religion, colour, ethnicity, or any other necessary criteria specified by applicable law.
The Company will not tolerate any disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour and unfair treatment. Harassment is not tolerated in the workplace and in any work-related circumstance outside the workplace.

The Company aware and take necessary action to prevent potential risks of accidents and injury to employees as outlined in the Safety, Health and Environment Policy.
The Company is committed to maintaining a workplace that is free from violence, harassment, bullying, intimidation and other unsafe or disruptive conditions due to internal or external threats.
The Company continuously commit to provide a work environment that promote productivity, harmony, work-life balance and employee well-being.

5.3 Housing and Amenities
In any case that housing and amenities are required; The Company shall provides a comfortable living space and conducive with well-maintained amenities.

5.4 Community & Business Ethics
The Company believes the importance of maintaining strong relationships with communities by having proactive engagement and reasonable efforts to minimize any negative impact to the community.

5.5 Child Labour / Modern Slavery / Forced Labour
The Company shall refrain from hiring and deploying of child labour in all our business operations, in reference of minimum age for employment in the Children and Young Persons (Employment) Act 1966.

5.6 Human Trafficking
The Company do not tolerate to any kind of act of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. We believe everyone shall have fair treatment and with dignity.

5.7 Freedom of Association
The Company continue to respect Employee's rights to form or join in labour unions, and to engage in collective bargain in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in each country and region that we operate in.

5.8 Wages and Employment Conditions
The Company strives to comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding remuneration, paid leave, disciplinary actions and others concerning employment.
The Company comply to fair wages, working hours with adequate rest and voluntary overtime. All work-related activities are carried out on the basis of employment relationship established according to the law and practice.
Any misleading or fraudulent practices during recruitment is not tolerated and charging recruitment fees to the employee is prohibited, especially to foreign workers. All workers have access to personal documentation such as passport.
